Good day, dear Serge!I'm terribly sorry for such a late reply, there was a misunderstandingwith the e-mails used my the project managers. So, if I'm not too latewith the info, here is it:On the 10th of December 2010 there will be a summit for the captainsof the National Teams on Historical Medieval Battles and we are happyto invite you to it! It will take place in Kiev and gather all thecaptains of the Teams which already exist and the ones which arecurrently formed. It’s going to be a serious event which the nextinternational festival can’t do without – the same one took placebefore the first “Battle of the Nations”.Within the event there will be:• summit• press conference for national and international Mass Media• closed meeting for organizing groups and the captains of NationalTeams and potential ones• professional battles (or video of the battles)• excursions around Kiev• evening banquet and informal communication, etc. On the summit your task will be to represent the reenactmentmainstream in your country generally: how many clubs, your clubpresentation in particular, what associations, how many years it takesplace in Canada (oh, sorry, not Canada, but Quebec surely!), photos ofthe fighters, video will be encouraged andso on so that people get the idea what is going on in this sphere inyour country. As for the expenses, we’re ready to coverall the accommodation and food expenses,we’ll also meet you at Borispol airport (the nearest to Kiev) and the nextday will see you off. So, all the expenses from your side will bejust travel expenses and your time. In case the ticket to Ukraine willbe a great problem for you, well, we can discuss it (but paying forthe ticket by yourself is encouraged
)You don't need visa to go to Ukraine.As for the information about the festival, we'll discuss all thepossible details on the summit. There will be interpreters (bothEnglish and French).To this e-mail I attach Rules for the battles (in case I haven't sentthem yet) and genaral Rules and Regulations of the project "Battle ofthe Nations", please, look them through!To answer your questions about the festival short: yes, this year wecovered many expenses such as insurance (minimal fee and the fighterscould pay additionally if they wanted), travel expenses; we providedthe festival area with composting toilets and showers (for touristsand separately - for the fest participants), there was an open-airkind of medieval cafe, there was a lorry which brought the fightersfrom the encampment to the list, and so on. Well, all the rest you canask personally on the summit, I really hope you can come!
